Imagination Station: Drawing and Painting Fun is a delightful art class where young artists ages 7-9 can let their creativity run wild! Thursdays at 12pm-12:50pm In this vibrant and playful course, kids will explore the magic of drawing and painting through a variety of fun projects designed to spark their imaginations. Each session is an adventure, encouraging students to experiment with colors, shapes, and techniques while building their artistic skills. Whether they're painting objects like hot air balloons or race cars or sketching their favorite animals, this class is all about having fun and expressing their unique ideas. Join us at the Imagination Station, where every child’s creativity takes center stage! 🌟 Benefits of the Class • Basic Art Elements: Gain a strong understanding of fundamental art elements, such as shape, perspective, form, and values, that are essential for creating captivating artwork. • Experiment with Styles: Learn to draw in various styles, enabling you to discover and refine your unique artistic voice. • Develop Analytical Skills: Learn how to analyze imagery and break down complex forms, a skill that enhances your ability to create detailed and accurate drawings. • Enhance Observational Drawing: Develop the skills needed for observational drawing and freehand sketching, building your confidence and ability to capture the world around you. • Creative Problem Solving: Enhance creative thinking and problem-solving skills through engaging and challenging artistic exercises. • Self-Expression: Nurture self-expression and confidence in your artistic abilities, allowing your unique voice to shine through your work. • Art Portfolio: Build a versatile and dynamic art portfolio that showcases your skills and growth as an artist. • Artistic Community: Foster an inclusive and supportive artistic community where you can collaborate, share, and grow with fellow young artists. • Artistic Exposure: Gain exposure to diverse art styles and mediums, broadening your understanding and appreciation of the art world. ________________________________________ 📋 Class Structure Our classes are designed to be interactive and engaging, with a structured format that supports learning and creativity: • Learner Check-In: Each session begins with a check-in where students can share their recent artwork and thoughts on the upcoming class. • Focused Lessons: A lesson that introduces the weekly focus, ensuring students understand the key concepts and techniques before starting their projects. • Drawing Demonstrations: The teacher will lead a step-by-step drawing demonstration, guiding students through each stage of the process. • Show-and-Tell Sessions: Students are encouraged to participate in a show-and-tell session, sharing their experiences. Classroom Do's and Don'ts: • Please do arrive to class on time with necessary materials and supplies. • Please do check-in with video and audio to begin. Only registered students will be able to attend class. During the draw-along, while classes are generally muted to reduce background noise, students are encouraged to unmute themselves at any point to ask questions or share insights. In larger classes, students will be asked to raise their hands before speaking. *Camera on preferred for on-the-spot support and for safety *Siblings and/or co-learners must each be enrolled to attend. All students must be enrolled separately per Outschool policy. *Unenrolled students at the time of class will be placed in the waiting room until the parent can enroll them. *All class lessons are based on student ability and pace. *All classes will begin on time as long as the learner is in the classroom. If all students are absent at the assigned class time, the teacher will leave a message on the discussion board and exit after 10 minutes.
