Classroom Do's and Don'ts: • Please do arrive to class on time with necessary materials and supplies. • Please do check-in with video and audio to begin. Only registered students will be able to attend class. During the draw-along, while classes are generally muted to reduce background noise, students are encouraged to unmute themselves at any point to ask questions or share insights. In larger classes, students will be asked to raise their hands before speaking. *Camera on preferred for on-the-spot support and for safety *Siblings and/or co-learners must each be enrolled to attend. All students must be enrolled separately per Outschool policy. *Unenrolled students at the time of class will be placed in the waiting room until the parent can enroll them. *All classes will begin on time as long as the learner is in the classroom. 🖌️ Materials Students will need the following materials to participate in the class effectively: • Paper: Preferably sketching paper or drawing pad. • Newsprint pad (thin paper for exercises) is also useful or you will go through your drawing pad quickly! * 30lb 18 x 24 newsprint pad. * • Notebook • Pencil: Artist sketch pencils including ebony pencils, graphite pencils and a range of grades (HB, B, 2B, 6B, 8B). • Eraser: Kneaded eraser and/or Magic Eraser (white in color no pink erasers please). • Charcoal: Charcoal and white charcoal sticks (medium, hard, and a few soft). If available, light grey, grey, and white charcoal are good options, with optional browns for skin tones. • Acrylic Paints- Red, Yellow, Blue, Black and White • Watercolor paints • Golden Additives (Retarder) Key ingredient when starting painting with acrylic paints it adds working time and blending ability. • Palette Knife • Painting Palette • 4 Canvas 16 x 20 • 1 sheet black construction paper • 1 creative design hole puncher • Paint Rag or Towel • Roll of Paper towel • Paint brushes - assorted sizes • Oil pastels • Spray bottle with water for painting • Black Indian Ink • Glue bottle (maybe mod podge glue if desired) • Cup or container for water to clean brushes
