I love being organized and my planner helps me to do that! I can't wait to share my enthusiasm for this important tool with your child! In this one time class, students will learn "how to" writing as well as how to use a planner to manage their time well. Studies show that students who learn to use a planner are more successful students than those who don't use a planner. Learning how to use a planner effectively is an important skill both in school and in life. As a classroom teacher, I witnessed time and time again that the students who were more organized were also more successful learners. Students will take simple notes using a graphic organizer in class. Students will then write a paragraph about what style of planner will work best for them as well as how they plan to use it. I will share how I use a planner as well as the following topics: What is a planner? What are the parts of a planner? Why should I use a planner? How do I use a planner? What are the different types of planners? How do I choose a planner that is right for me?

I have been a homemaker for over 28 years, and I love learning how to make my home run smoothly and efficiently with minimal effort. One of my favorite things to do is to read books about homemaking and to share what I have learned with others. I have a vast library on this topic, and I also love to listen to podcasts about efficiency and being more organized. One of my favorite things as a college student was to spend my Friday afternoons doing my laundry, cleaning my dorm room, and getting groceries for my mini fridge. I love being able to share my enthusiasm and love for all things home with my students. Let's learn and have fun together!
