I love all things home, and I am excited to share how to run a home smoothly and effectively! So many young people struggle with home management skills once they leave home. It doesn't have to be this way! This class will give your student the basic skills so that they will be able to effectively manage their homes and lives. Students will be able to use these skills right away as well as in the future so that they can be well prepared for whatever their life will bring. I look forward to meeting your child and sharing some of my tips and tricks! The following topics will be covered in class: Day 1- Effective and simple meal planning including how to make simple as well as healthy recipes Day 2- Healthy and simple cleaning as well as how to make your own cleaners Day 3- How to simplify, organize, and keep the clutter contained Day 4- Simple time management tools and tricks such as how to use a planner as well as routines to keep your life running smoothly. Day 5- How to take care of laundry tasks easily and economically while still being earth friendly. Students will be given optional assignments to complete so that they can practice the skills learned in class. My class style is always very welcoming and friendly. I use slides to present my material, and students are encouraged to participate in the discussions as much or as little as they feel comfortable. I look forward to meeting your child! Let's learn and have fun together!

Teacher expertise and credentials

I have been a homemaker for over 28 years, and I love learning how to make my home run smoothly and efficiently with minimal effort. One of my favorite things to do is to read books about homemaking and to share what I have learned with others. I have a vast library on this topic, and I also love to listen to podcasts about efficiency and being more organized. One of my favorite things as a college student was to spend my Friday afternoons doing my laundry, cleaning my dorm room, and getting groceries for my mini fridge. I love being able to share my enthusiasm and love for all things home with my students. Let's learn and have fun together!
