This class is for young learners just beginning to draw. I will model step-by-step instructions how to draw a bird and a turtle and we will paint each animal. We will also print the names of our animals. Fun drawing class for beginners!

In the beginning of class we will start with an ice-breaker question, would you rather? In this one-time class I will model step-by-step instructions how to draw two simple animals. We will draw and learners can either color or paint their animal; We will also print the names of the animals to development fine motor skills. I structure my class in a small group so I can give each learner my time and support them through their drawing process. I will provide time for children to share their drawings if they feel comfortable to do so. My teaching style is simple all children are welcomed and accepted in my class. No required knowledge is necessary, I look forward to seeing your learner in my class!

Hello, my name is Anna Contreras, I am a preschool teacher with twenty-five years’ experience. I have experience working with older children six to ten years old as a teacher assistant. I have two degrees, a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and an Associate Degree in Education.
My educational belief is every child has a right to a safe learning environment. As a teacher it is my responsibility to be a positive influence on children's love of learning and to foster their self-esteem. I love working with children, I am animated, silly, and fun which keeps children engaged and interested. In my experience children learn through laughter and silliness.
Teaching tools I use are puppets, music, games, dance, musical instruments, I also use Manycam to display pictures on screen to engage children learning process. Classes I hope to teach on Outschool include early literacy, math and science, arts and crafts, nursery rhymes, music, and dance.
On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with my family, my husband and I have two adult sons, a daughter-in-law and four grandchildren. I love spending time with my two dogs, Marley, and Bella. I enjoy TikTok and learning new dances with my granddaughters.Reviews
