In this class, students will learn about the powerful mindset they can adopt to bounce back from failure. The class is designed to empower students. In class they will learn about how mindset impacts the learning process. They will learn about the benefits of having a growth mindset. They will also become more aware of the mindset they currently have. They will be given strategies on how to build a growth mindset. The class will start off as a lecture but will be very interactive in nature. I will be asking many questions throughout to ensure students understand new vocabulary and concepts introduced to them. After introducing the concept of the growth mindset, students will have the opportunity to read stories about successful icons who have utilized the growth mindset to overcome failure. The class will also include short activities in which students have an opportunity to reflect on the challenges they've faced and the mindset they've utilized. These activities are designed to help students to become self aware so that they can begin to incorporate the strategies they've learned into their everyday life. The class will also feature a game to ensure students are engaged and understanding the concepts introduced to them. Learners do not need any prior experience or knowledge for this course.

Teacher expertise and credentials
As a graduate of the Organizational Psychology Masters program at Columbia University, I studied what motivates people and how to get people to perform at the highest level. This involves cultivating a growth mindset in order to be able to bounce back in the face of challenges. This is a topic that is very near and dear to my heart. It is a powerful lesson that is applicable to anyone, from anywhere which is why I am so passionate about teaching it.
