In this one-time class, students will learn about the legacy of Latino actor Lin-Manuel Miranda, popularly known for his work on Disney’s Encanto and the creator and star of Hamilton. This is a great class for Hispanic Heritage Month.

Class Experience

During this 40 minute class, students will learn about Lin-Manuel Miranda and his contributions not only to the acting world and pop culture but also his humanitarian efforts. During class time, we will work through a brief overview of his life including his early life, rise to fame, his award-winning shows "In The Heights" and "Hamilton", and his current projects. As he is of Puerto Rican and of Mexican descent, some Spanish words will be mentioned throughout the class with an English translation provided.

The class will consist of a detailed presentation, followed by a discussion, and a Kahoot! review game. 

No previous knowledge of Lin-Manuel Miranda or the Spanish language is needed to participate in this class.
