This one-time class is excellent for young students who would like to learn more about the Brave Ruby Bridges and what she did. This lesson will be about the history of Ruby Bridges. I will be teaching about her life story, the kind of person she was, and how she changed many schools across the country. Students will be able learn the reasons why she is a very important historic figure and why she is a hero. We will also talk about the different ways she is relevant in today's society. We will have discussions about this topic. Each student will be able to interact and share their thoughts and feelings. They will also understand what "brown vs board of education," is and how it related to Ruby. Since this topic is related to African American history we will have discussions about racism, inequality, and Jim Crow laws . Students will understand how this applied to Ruby Bridges' life and how it applies today. They will be able to kindly express their thoughts and opinions on this subject .This class could possibly go over 30 minutes, as I love to give all students the time speak if they chose to do so.

I have experience in teaching this subject to students in elementary, middle, and high school. I also have experience tutoring college students. I have a degree in Communications, so I will be able to communicate and teach this topic without being bias. I was able to research, write essays, and give speeches about this topic throughout college. Most importantly, I will allow each student to express their thoughts and opinions about this topic. This will help them communicate and show what they have learned. It is very important to include all students.
