Hi! My name is Janet Leland, and I’m excited to work with you or your child to help build confidence and success in math. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Cornell University and have over 20 years of experience as a software engineer, including 10 years at Google.  I have tutored math students individually and as part of a group both in college and within in the neighborhood.

While my background is in technology, my true passion lies in teaching. I love working with middle and high school students, whether it's building a strong foundation in math, preparing for AP courses like Calculus AB/BC and Statistics, or getting ready for major standardized tests like the SAT, ACT, AP, or IB exams.
Every student is unique, and I’m enthusiastic about discovering what works best for each individual. I’m dedicated to helping students not only understand math but also build their confidence by breaking down complex concepts and developing their problem-solving skills. My approach is all about working together, setting goals, and achieving real, measurable progress.
