Class Experience

This one-day workshop reminds students what goes into good writing and a good paragraph. We will cover topic sentences, evidence, and support and linking ideas. Students will produce a solid paragraph at the end of the session. Given time, students may share their paragraph if they are comfortable.

The lesson will be delivered via lecture and discussion. Student participation is preferred. Each week, a different topic will be introduced and students will write a paragraph to answer. Some topics may be: Impacts of music, reflections on a challenge, volunteerism, significance of cultural diversity, impacts of technology.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a highly experienced high school teacher. My love is economics and government. My specialty is AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics, IB Economics and IB Theory of Knowledge. Additionally, I am an expert writing teacher. I have written AP Macro and Economics for the University of California Online High School. I am also an examiner for the IB, and I write practice test questions for the Texas Starr Test. I have worked for top schools throughout the world, both online and in person.

I graduated from U.C. Berkeley and started teaching in California, but went on an overseas adventure and taught in Dubai, Brussels, Jakarta and Mumbai, before landing back in the US. After teaching in Texas and Florida, I took my craft overseas once again to Okinawa, Japan, I am currently back in California to be closer to my family.

My fur babies are "kids" now: two dogs I adopted in Indonesia and a Japanese cat - they have flown internationally multiple times.
