In this one-time class, learners will be taught the basics of creative writing at a high school level. We will discuss setting, world building, character development, and how to get started on a short story. Learners will have the opportunity to develop an idea for a short story they can continue writing after class. We will discuss how to begin a short story, how to develop its plot, and how to satisfyingly end it. This class will be a lecture format with opportunities for class discussion and a writing activity.
