The age range is only a guide. *** You do NOT have to complete any other classes to take this class. Each class we will read a new book. The books will be guided reading leveled readers from levels, G, H, and I. We will also, learn to read syllables using vocabulary words, reread previous texts, learn, sound out, and review sight words, discuss comprehension questions, complete phonics activities, and engage in guided writing. Assessments Offered
Learners will be asked to make sounds, read words and sentences. Learners will be asked discussion style comprehension questions and are expected to participate. Learners will be asked to write words and sentences independently and as a group. Teacher will adjust instruction in response to ongoing observation- based assessment.Grades Offered
0Materials: Paper and pencil is sufficient, but learners may enjoy a dry erase marker and board (try the dollar store). Plus, markers are easier for me to see when learners hold up their work. Printer and ability to print PDF files
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
