Class Experience
Improve your reading skills with one-on-one help. Each class, learner will read to the teacher. Teacher will help with sounding out, context clues, fluency, and comprehension following the science of reading. Teacher will provide instruction and text based on student's Instructional Reading Level. Lessons will be customized to your learners needs and goals. I am an experienced Reading Specialist with teaching experience in public schools and private tutoring sessions. My Reading Specialist experience lies primarily in one-on-one and small group sessions that target students six months, or more, behind in reading, to bring them up to grade level. I am also experienced at identifying areas of weakness and building lessons to target those weaknesses.
Please supply teacher with student's current (within the last 6 months) Instructional Reading Level. If you do not have this information, teacher can assess student and a report can be created for you. (This would require additional time. Please contact teacher for more information.)
