What will be taught?
Gratitude Practices: Students will explore different ways to express gratitude and understand its positive impact on the brain and emotions.

Affirmations: They will learn how to create and use positive affirmations to build self-confidence and resilience, as well as replace negative self-talk with empowering thoughts.

Emotional Awareness: Students will develop an understanding of their emotions and how gratitude and affirmations can help manage and shift negative feelings into positive ones.

Topics Covered:
The Science of Gratitude: How gratitude affects our brain and emotions.

Creating Positive Affirmations: How to craft affirmations that resonate with students' personal goals.

Mindfulness Techniques: Simple exercises to help children stay focused and present during gratitude and affirmation practices.

Overcoming Negative Self-Talk: Identifying negative thoughts and transforming them into positive affirmations.

Class Structure:
Each class will be interactive and designed to engage students through a combination of discussions, activities, and reflection:

Warm-Up: A short mindfulness activity to center the group and prepare for class.

Instruction: I will introduce the concept of the week (gratefulness, affirmations, etc.) through guided discussion and examples.

Activity: Students will participate in hands-on activities, such as writing their own affirmations, creating gratitude lists, or drawing gratitude jars.

Reflection: Students will be encouraged to reflect on their experiences and share their thoughts with the group, helping reinforce learning.

Teaching Style:
My teaching style is warm, supportive, and interactive. I strive to create a comfortable environment where students feel safe to express themselves, ask questions, and learn without judgment. I encourage curiosity and provide positive reinforcement to help build confidence.

Interaction with Learners:
Discussions: Students will be encouraged to share their ideas, personal experiences, and the affirmations or gratitude practices that resonate with them.

Games & Activities: Fun games like "Gratitude Scavenger Hunt" and "Affirmation Bingo" will help students practice gratitude and affirmations in an engaging way.

Slides and Visuals: I’ll use slides and visuals to explain concepts and show examples, helping make the ideas clearer and easier to understand.

Reflection Time: I allow time for students to reflect on what they’ve learned each week, either through journaling, drawing, or verbal sharing.

This approach helps create a dynamic and engaging learning experience where every student can actively participate and grow their emotional intelligence while boosting their self-esteem.
