Class Experience

Each class, I will provide a paragraph with ten built-in errors of basic spelling, grammar, punctuation, or capitalization. Students will then work as a group on a hunting expedition to find errors and suggest corrections. We will then review the corrections. These short frequent exposures are sure to cement some very important skills as it lays the foundation for improving students' overall writing. Each daily paragraph shares some very timely information too -- high-interest information that will build literacy as it improves language skills. This is an interactive class that will allow for each child to participate at their comfort level.

March: Two meeting days, specific dates depending on which you sign up for.
Week of March 4th passages: Virginia Hamilton, The Roller Coaster
Week of March 11th passages: Harriet Tubman, Pi Day
Week of March 18th passages: Ezra Jack Keats, Tuskegee Airman
