Class experience
In this 30 minute slow flow class teens and preteens will focus on body awareness, stretching, and balance. This class is autism friendly and all students are welcome, regardless of ability. Improve body awareness and learn basic yoga poses
Ms. Rae has worked as a professional dancer and choreography for over 2 decades. She also taught yoga in New York City daycare centers for 3 years and for 2 years at Harbor Haven Camp in New Jersey; a camp focused on creating programming for special needs children. At Harbor Haven she taught yoga to students ages 6 to 15.
This class focuses on helping those on the autism spectrum to develop patience and body awareness. Students start class seated so that we can focus on awareness and reduce feelings of wanting to fall when in engaging in standing poses.
Optional: - a yoga mat - a chair
