This class will be a fun lesson on new fonts. I will work with the students to write the alphabet of two new fonts. The fonts taught will be calligraphy (without calligraphy pens) and bubble font. Both fonts are shown in the cover photo. I do ask that the students have a basic background on cursive hand-writing to do some of the fonts. I will walk them through each font step-by-step to show them how to perfect some fun, new hand-lettering. These fonts are great for making posters, signs, event cards and more! I ask that the students interact with me through this lesson and draw with me as we create fun fonts together. Throughout the class, I will ask the students to work on each new font, leading to them creating an awesome poster with their name on it in one of the new fonts. The class will be a relaxed environment inviting students to try new hand-lettering.

I have been volunteering/working in a classroom for the past five years. I absolutely love having the chance to teach my students new things and grab their interest with new ideas that they are really excited about. In teaching, I believe that the most important thing is to make sure that your classroom, whether in person or online, is a welcoming and fun learning atmosphere for all. Without an excitement for learning, it is hard to teach a student something new. To add on to this, I believe that keeping teaching material exciting and relatable helps all people become the best student that they can be!
