Each week of camp, a new song selection will be integrated (you can sign up for as many sections as you'd like- some will have repeated songs, and some will be different). All students need is a space they are comfortable, and a stuffed animal each day to sing and play with us! The structure of each lesson is as follows: Day 1: 1. Vocal Warm-Up: Follow a guided vocal warm-up to make sure our voices are ready 2. Beat movement: Create unique ways to move to music 3. Echo song: Learn a song that includes echo patterns. 4. Arioso: explore and improvise in a musical fantasy land 5. Story Song: Listen to a story in the form of a song, and see where the story takes us! Day 2: 1. Vocal Warm-Up: Follow a guided vocal warm-up to make sure our voices are ready 2. Beat movement: Create unique ways to move to music 3. Circle Game: Learn a song that includes a game 4. Arioso: explore and improvise in a musical fantasy land 5. Story Song: Listen to a story in the form of a song, and choose what happens next in the story Day 3: 1. Vocal Warm-Up: Follow a guided vocal warm-up to make sure our voices are ready 2. Movement exploration: Create unique ways to move to music, and learn about musical qualities 3. Call and Response Song: Learn a song that includes call and response, creating musical melodies 4. Lullaby: Learn a song to help put your stuffed animals to sleep- don't forget to bring your favorite stuffed animal! 5. Story Song: Sing a song that tells a story
Learning Goals
Students will maintain and improve vocal health for singing at home, and grow in vocal technique while understanding basic concepts of music.

Parental Guidance
All songs are appropriate for the age level provided, and all activities will be provided with visual, aural, and kinesthetic integration.
Supply List
A quiet space for learners to focus, as well as a stuffed animal or doll. It is suggested for continued practice at home and share music with their families and friends.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I will be live accompanying and singing with the children. Any shared images have been created independently, based on the First Steps in Music curriculum framework, and including original songs.
Teacher expertise and credentials
I have a Bachelor's Degree in vocal performance, as well as a Master's degree in Music Education. From shows at Carnegie Hall to the Beacon Theater on Broadway to The Auditorium Theater and the Pabst Theater in the Midwest, to my elementary music classroom- my musical experiences have brought me to incredible places. I'd like to share that with you in our lessons!
