This class is for writers who love creative writing. This fun fiction class will help sharpen students' story writing skills. Writers will be given a prompt and create a short story. We will discuss ways to develop deep reader engagement through the writing processes. This class begins with learners viewing a visual, audio, or written prompt to get their ideas flowing. We will discuss the prompt and the various ideas it sparks. Then, learners will begin writing their stories. We will stop...
Students will learn to take their fiction writing to the next level by creating strong reader engagement through rich details.
No homework is required but some students may want to continue their stories.
Please have paper, your favorite writing utensils, and your creative mind ready to go!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will demonstrate their understanding throughout the class with informal assessments.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
