Students will practice sewing straight lines, use the zig zag stitch or other decorative stitches on their machine, and learn two easy finishing techniques; the inside/out method and a self-binding method.
This is a beginning class for an easy and cute quilted project. This class can be built upon for many more advanced projects.
If you know how to thread your machine and can sew (somewhat) straight lines then this class is for you. You will need small pieces of batting and some scrap fabric.
There is a pdf download that lists suggested supplies.
We will be using rotary cutters and scissors in this class so please be very aware of the safety requirements; e.g. knowledge of proper scissor handling and/or rotary blade safety using a cutting mat and utilizing the "close" feature after every use.
