Our class will begin with greetings. I will sing the rhyme "Five Little Ducks" as I read the story illustrated by Jose Arguego and Ariadne Dewey via PowerPoint. As we read along, we will practice counting the number of ducks on each page. The PowerPoint animations will help the learners to develop 1-1 correspondence, number sense, and numeral recognition. Following the story, the learners will have the choice of coloring a printable of a rubber duck, drawing/coloring a picture of their own, or doing a step-by-step drawing of a rubber duck. If there is more than one learner in the class and at least one prefers to do the step-by-step drawing, I will lead the process while also engaging with the learners who prefer to color the printable or draw a picture of their own.
