Description
Class Experience
The goal is for each learner to launch their first functional and *potential* money-generating online business by the end of this camp. Each day of the camp your child will learn the fundamentals of starting an online business from the safety of their own home. I'm a practitioner of the Socratic method of teaching so these classes will be highly interactive with real-world examples, case studies, and questions and answers. I'm an online entrepreneur, writer, and podcaster. Prior to starting my online business, I worked as an investment banker, venture capital analyst, and management consultant with a Fortune 500 company. I left management consulting to launch an online e-commerce store selling baby products. I current run a digital marketing agency and online education company. I have had the pleasure of serving as a judge for several startup competitions in Canada and West Africa. I'm also an adviser to one of Africa's first robotics centers and robotics competitions.
There will be short after-class research assignments to help each learner gather more knowledge on how to build their first online business. The course will end with learners giving a 3-minute presentation about their online business.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
