Learners will read books and then provide a review. Learners get a chance to practice and present this. *This course directly relates to B.C. Curricular Competencies for ELA Grades 4-12 under Comprehend and connect (reading, listening, viewing) Create and communicate (writing, speaking, representing).
I've always enjoyed sharing my love of crafting, reading, outdoor experiences and supportive social environments. I'm a Metis interdisciplinary artist, musician and micro-farmer. Sustainability is important to me as it encourages connection with nature no matter where you live. My experiences range from 10 years with IBM as a field tech to professional musician with a B.Mus from McGill University. I am a songwriter and a homeschooling mum of two kids and my current obsession is board game design. I believe that child-led project based learning is the key to engagement. As a parent of an ND child, I believe connection and relationship are the first step in education.
