In this learner-led weekly book club, students will share with the class a book they are currently reading! Each learner will get to share what they enjoy about the book they brought to class, including things like their favorite character, the setting of the book, the genre, etc.

This class will be very interactive, and learners will be encouraged to ask thoughtful questions of their peers to learn more about why they love the book they are reading. In this way, learners will also improve their interpersonal skills by learning to ask meaningful questions to learn about another person's interests!

AGE/READING LEVEL: This class is designed for learners ages 7-10 years old who are reading chapter books of any level. Students may be at various reading levels and still benefit from thoughtful literary discussion with their peers! 

DISCLAIMER: Students are allowed to choose just about any book to share within this social club. However, books that contain graphic violence and/or sexual content will not be allowed in this group, due to the age of the learners. If you have a question about a book being permissible to discuss in this group, please reach out privately ahead of time.

📚 CLASS POLICIES 📚 

MUTING: I love a highly interactive class, and I do not require students to be muted in my classes. That said, if there is a lot of background noise going on in a home, I will quietly mute that learner's camera so that other learners are not distracted by the noise. The learner is always welcome to unmute to ask questions or share! 

CLASS RECORDING POLICY: When you pay for one of my classes, you are paying for the LIVE class, just like if this were an in-person class! I do not share recordings of my group classes for the privacy and safety of all learners. By enrolling in this class, you acknowledge that you understand it is a LIVE class and recordings will not be shared.

REFUND POLICY: This is a weekly, on-going class. Your weekly payment reserves a spot just for your child! Just like with in-person classes or extra-curricular events, refunds are not given when your child misses class. If you will be gone for an extended period of time, you may un-enroll your learner to open up their spot for another child and re-enroll upon your return, if space is available at that time.
