Students can read and/or listen to an age appropriate book and discuss elements of the book, such as characters, plot, and setting.

Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1

This class will teach listening and comprehension skills and encourage a love of books. 
The topics covered will be age appropriate books that will entertain but also allow for discussion and questions about the book.
My class is fun but structured.  We will be able to ask and answer questions, but students must pay attention and learn to take turns.

The students will learn the concepts of characters, plot, and setting, as well as listening skills and being able to explain their opinions and ideas on the book.

I have been teaching students for almost 15 years.  I also have my TEFL level 5 certificate and tutor students in ESL.  I work one on one or in group settings with students.  I want to develop a love of reading in early childhood, because I feel if children start reading early they will develop into life-long readers.  I also feel it is important for students who are studying English to practice  reading and listening to reading.
