Class Experience
Each week of this ongoing club will be filled with discussions about all things books and reading. Students will be encouraged to bring their favorite book or a book they are currently reading to share and recommend to their classmates. We will also discuss different genres and reading preferences and new and upcoming releases that the students are excited about. I am involved in and have facilitated multiple "real life" book clubs with both children and adults. As an avid reader, I enjoy discussing books of all genres and am skilled at allowing students to share their opinions in a positive, friendly environment.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This class is meant to be a place for open discussion about books. Learners may come away from the meeting with recommendations from their peers for new reading material. Please keep in mind that not all books are appropriate for all families and preview anything your learner decides to read as a result of this class.
