There are no live meetings. All interactions between students and the teacher will happen on the class page. This class will be presented via powerpoint and pre-recorded drawing instruction. Students will upload images of their assignments for the teacher to see and comment on. This is particularly important if a final grade is required for homeschool or charter school credit. Why Self-Paced? *MY Self-Paced classes ALWAYS cost less than the live versions of the same class! *Self-Paced classes are an excellent choice for families with busy schedules. *Content is exactly the same as live classes, at a lower fee. *Students can work at an independent pace. *Self-Paced classes are fantastic for international students whose time zone doesn't match the teacher's (US Mountain Time), *Self-Paced classes are a great alternative for students who are uncomfortable with live video chat. Our Self-Paced format will be as follows: Content: Video demonstration of the process will be posted. Videos will vary in length depending on the type of art being presented. Some may be as short as 10 or 15 minutes while others could be ½ hour or more. Student work is expected to take anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour, depending upon the student’s preferred pace. Drawing Assignments: Self-paced students spend time completing their artwork and submit it via the classroom.

Students will need: Paper (drawing paper is great; sketchbook, or even printer paper will work! Pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener Black Sharpie Choice of coloring tools: colored pencils, crayons, watercolor pencils, or markers.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
