I like to have fun and be a little bit silly. I'm a kid at heart, yet still professional with a passion for learning and teaching.

I give my students the tools they need to face obstacles, persevere, and overcome challenges. In class, we use mistakes as learning opportunities, discuss big ideas, make connections, and learn to be problem solvers.

Requirements: Students should have mastery of the multiplication table for numbers 1-12.

Learning Goals

Students will improve their understanding of divisibility and be able to quickly tell if a number is divisible by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10.

Together we will complete a resource sheet with examples that the kids can use as a reference sheet for current and future math classes.

Hello! I’m a mom, math teacher, tutor, and blogger that believes that learning is fun when it’s relevant, interesting, and interactive.

I’m a certified teacher with a Master’s Degree in Education and have taught (in both public and private schools) and tutored for many years.

I have also been blogging for 14+ years and have experience with content creation, social media, running a business, public speaking, marketing, and more. I've been featured on local news channels and have spoken at conferences.

I help my students develop a growth mindset by providing an atmosphere where they feel confident and successful. I give my students the tools they need to face obstacles, persevere, and overcome challenges. In class, we use mistakes as learning opportunities, discuss big ideas, make connections, and learn to be problem solvers.

I have experience teaching both in-person and virtually. During the spring semester, I used technology to help make math fun, relevant, and interactive.

I love learning new things and challenging my mind and body. I also enjoy the outdoors and traveling. I studied abroad in Spain, studied/volunteered in Costa Rica, and volunteered at an English camp in Israel.

Interesting facts about me:

I have had a variety of interesting jobs. I have been in a few movies, music videos, and commercials as an extra. If you look really hard and pause in just the right spot, you can see me. :)

Each year, I train and run a half marathon here in Austin, Texas.

I'm a cancer survivor.
