Class Experience

• Understand the three Pilars of D&D (Social, Exploration, & Combat)
• Learn how to read a character sheet and how the mechanics of the game are played
• Learn joint storytelling and cooperative problem solving
• Online tools to play D&D
No homework except...Go & Play! Adventure Time!
Print Out of Your Character (Chosen first come first serve by order of registration) Pencil *Basic rules not required (But if you are a reader, this should prepare you well!)
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
2 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
One of the three pillars of D&D is Combat. There will be battles and death, but all in high fantasy. We keep every description of situations to a low PG rating. We also discuss “safety tools” that any student can use if a description or situation becomes uncomfortable, we can use a “veil” to fade to the next scene. This ensures that we are keeping everything fun and exciting for everyone. D&D is inclusive to everyone from all walks of life.
