Victoria Frankenstein is a mad scientist determined to discover the secrets of life like her father before her. This game covers what might have happened after the events of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. As an inquisitor, you've been sent on assignment to save the people of Promethea by exploring the blizzard-ridden land of Promethea. You'll fight off monsters created through surgical experimentation, industrial disasters, secret societies, and even terrifying ocean creatures. Whether you choose to help or hinder the doctor, the stories unfold around you. The only way to complete your mission and be free of this icy nightmare is to help the Doctor achieve her highest goal: retrieve the Unbreakable Heart. You'll uncover the dark history of Promethea, who leads The Created, and why some Prometheans act so strangely. Be ready to fight off the industrial- and body horrors that flood this land. This is a new Dungeons & Dragons campaign written by Beth the Bard and Jayden King. Horror lovers will delight in this structured-yet-sandbox adventure. However, gamers easily bothered by dark themes and monsters will not enjoy this. This is geared toward pre-teens and teens, and the age restriction is strict. Younger kids may not do well with the darker themes of this campaign. DND Beyond access is available to enrolled players. This will allow your gamer to create digital character sheets with most of the available sourcebook character options. They will also have digital access to The Player’s Handbook, Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes, and Volo’s Guide to Monsters for their reading or reference pleasure. ⚠️I highly recommend your gamer already be well-acquainted with D&D to participate in this particular campaign.⚠️ This means they know how to build their official character sheet, they know how to reference rules and spells, and they know how to use their sheet and dice for in-game rolls and actions. If they need help catching up on how the D&D works, please see my four-day course for total beginners: https://outschool.com/classes/camp-dungeons-and-dragons-a-course-for-total-beginners-yRB9Q5kO#usxznkQzdq ✔️TEAMWORK POLICY: By signing up for one of my campaigns, your student agrees to choose cooperation and collaboration with the other gamers. There will be absolutely no player-against-player actions in any form. We're here so everyone can have fun! ✔️CHARACTER POLICY: Official D&D character options only, please! This will make for fair and known game mechanics for everyone. ✔️ALIGNMENT POLICY: Evil-alignment characters are no longer allowed in these games to make a comfortable and enjoyable environment for all players. It simply doesn't lend well to roleplaying in a team-player environment. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. I will ask your student out loud for their personal pronouns on the first day of class to help normalize this process for all students. My classes are all-inclusive and safe for LGBTQ+ students, so please understand this beforehand if that will be an issue for your family! (Class image art is legally licensed for use in and promotion of my upcoming book "Daughter of Frankenstein: And Other 5E Stories of Promethean Body Horror" coming soon to Kickstarter.)

Third-Party Tools:
Students will need the Player's Handbook for character building. I recommend the third-party tool of DnD Beyond by Wizards of the Coast for digital character building as well as having access to free digital books. To use this, your student must be 13 or old and have a DnD Beyond account. This is NOT required to join this series, as pen-and-paper character sheets are perfectly acceptable!
Content Warnings:
Games of Dungeons & Dragons include regular themes of fantasy battle. This is not described in disturbing detail and is always monitored by an adult.
This particular campaign IS of the horror genre, specifically medical and industrial horror There will be scary situations and monsters that might be disturbing to children that don't like that sort of thing. There is body horror content such as golems, reborn monsters, mutated creatures, and mad doctors/scientists. There is environmental/industrial horror such as pollution and its negative effects, scary weather, and shipwrecks. There is social horror such as secret societies that plot against the citizens of Lamordia. There is pretty consistent evil around every corner, until the party fixes it!
Supply List
Gamers will need: -a completed character sheet -pencil -paper -polyhedral dice (digital is okay) Students will also have access to DM Beth's unlocked DnD Beyond campaign by Wizards of the Coast.
