Do you love history but also wonder about the stories that are often left out? These are all subjects that are awkward because they involve murder, lies, rape, governments being terrible, betrayals, and everything between. I will present these true stories from history as accurately as possible. I put a lot of time and research into each class to present them accurately. I will also try to list trigger warnings at the beginning of class so students have mental time to prepare for what they will be learning about. Each week will be a new history story. They are listed below by date. “If you are protected from dark things then you have no protection of, knowledge of, or understanding of dark things when they show up," Neil Gaiman This class will Not be a good fit for all students. We will talk about psychological experiments, horrible human beings, terrible people, cannibalism, witches, torture, murder, child abuse, racism, sexism, slavery, and random hauntings. Your child may skip any lesson that you deem to be too dark. Just message me for a refund in advance. I use a lot of video content in this class, however, I spend 6-7 hours each week watching them and narrowing those down for the lesson. Please read the parental warning section prior to enrolling. July 10-14 The Sorceror July 17-21 Rainbow Valley July 24-28 Poveglia Island July 31-August 4 Experiments in Mental Hospitals August 7-11 Indigenous Boarding Schools August 14-18 The Osage Murders “A generation that ignores history has no past- and no future” Robert A Heinlein
Learning Goals
Students will learn real history that is often glossed over or completely ignored.

I trust parents to know their children the best and judge for themselves. So if you believe this is a good fit for your child but they are outside the age range you may enroll them. If it ends up not being a good fit you can un-enroll at any time. I also give students agency in each class to decide if they need to leave and they absolutely can.
