Curly Hair Care - Learn the Basics in One Class!

In this interactive and fun one-time class, we will touch on the basics of caring for wavy or curly hair. Sometimes curly hair can seem overwhelming and challenging. I promise you, that with a little knowledge (and a whole lot of trial-and-error!) you can LOVE your curly locks just as much as your straight-haired friends. The key is knowing how to properly care for your textured hair. I have curly/wavy hair and have spent the last decade working on how to best care for it. While it is impossible to be an expert on all types of curly hair, there are definitely tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way that will help you on your curly hair journey. 

In this class we will learn:
* the different types of curly/wavy hair and how to identify what type you have
* the types of products and ingredients to watch out for, NEVER use, and what you should be using in your hair
* different washing & conditioning methods and how often you should be doing what
* different styling methods and how to figure out what is best for your hair type
* how to navigate special circumstances like swimming, professional styling, accidental mishaps, etc
* how to celebrate and love our curly hair, even when it is making us crazy! ;)

Class will be structured like this:
5-10 minutes: Intros & hair confessions
15-20 minutes: types of curls and understanding your own
10-15 minutes: how to shop for products 
10-15 minutes: washing and conditioning techniques 
10-15 minutes: styling techniques
10 minutes: Q&A
