What will be taught? Students will explore creativity, coding, and problem-solving as they design and build within Minecraft's immersive worlds. Both survival and creative modes will be used, helping learners understand game mechanics, teamwork, and world-building. What topics will you cover? World-Building: Creating unique Minecraft environments from scratch. Problem-Solving: Overcoming in-game challenges and building complex structures. Coding & Game Mechanics: Using Minecraft's built-in tools and coding basics to automate functions. Teamwork & Collaboration: Working together to tackle challenges and build larger projects. How is your class structured? This weekly class is highly interactive, combining structured guidance with creative freedom. Sessions will alternate between group projects and individual work, with plenty of time for learners to discuss strategies, share progress, and give feedback to one another. Each session will include: - Introduction to the week's theme or challenge - Guided gameplay on a private Minecraft server - Time for students to share builds and reflect on their learning How will you teach? The teaching style is student-centered and project-based, with live instruction on a private Minecraft server. Learners will be encouraged to experiment, collaborate, and share their builds with the group. The class will balance guided challenges with free-form creativity, helping students gain confidence in their skills while fostering teamwork. What's your teaching style? I take a hands-on, inquiry-based approach, guiding students through projects while allowing them the freedom to explore and create. My focus is on fostering creativity and collaboration, and I provide real-time feedback as students build. How much will learners get to interact with you? Learners will have constant interaction with me during gameplay, as I offer live feedback, advice, and coding tips. Students will also engage in regular discussions and share their Minecraft creations with the class.
