Class

Average rating:4.9Number of reviews:(205)
In this class, we will learn the basics of how to create simple projects using the Cricut Cutting Machine.

Class experience

This will vary from week to week and will be posted the day after each scheduled class time as it will depend on how far we get in each lesson. However, this is a list of essentials required:
-Cricut (I will be using the Maker, but also have the Explorer)
-Computer
-Design Space
-Mat (green preferred, however we may use another color depending on project)
-Tools (sharp scissor. Cricut Weeding tool, Cricut Spatula, Scoring Wheel/Stylus
-Card stock (various colors/patterns, medium weight)
-Cricut pens/markers (the Cricut comes with one marker, which is sufficient for what we will need)
-Vinyl (permanent or removable). Cricut sells their own brand and works as a good starting point. At least 2 colors.
-Transfer Tape (clear vinyl to help transfer vinyl to other surface. Can use clear, contact paper from Dollar Store)
-Iron-on Vinyl. At least two colors.
-Liquid glue (Tacky glue) or Glue stick (they don't adhere as well as liquid glue does)
-Iron or Cricut Easy Press for iron-on vinyl class. Will need a solid pillow case, or heat press teflon sheet to adhere vinyl and protect project.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
  • Cricut Design Space
Learning how to use heat transfer vinyl, to apply to t-shirts, will require the presence of adult supervision. These designs can be created in class, and applied after the class is through, under supervision.
