Description

Class Experience

Most learners want to dive right into a book, before testing the waters, because they do not know that reading comprehension begins before reading the main body of the text. Utilizing core reading strategies to build comprehension of fiction and non-fiction texts, learners will learn how to test the waters and become familiar with texts before diving in. This is an on-going class that will meet weekly for 60 minutes. During each class, learners will learn and apply different core reading...

Students will build their reading comprehension skills, by utilizing core reading strategies.

I'm a licensed middle/high school teacher. I am licensed in Ohio. I have over 15 years of classroom teaching experience, and two years of remote teaching experience. I also hold a master’s degree in Special Education.

Optional homework might be recommended to learners. Daily homework assignments will not take longer than 30 mins of your learners  time.

Formal and Informal assessments will be conducted to measure lesson's effectiveness and guide future instruction.

45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
