Circle Time With Ms. Jenna - 2X per Week: Full Preschool Curriculum

This class will run like a traditional preschool/kindergarten circle time. We will learn our letters, numbers, colors, shapes, counting, opposites, weather, days of the week, months of the year all through singing, reading and movement. Each week will focus on a different theme such as transportation, trees, in the kitchen, dinosaurs, apples, etc. Each lesson will include a welcome song, sharing time, concept of the week, weather, games, movement, read aloud and goodbye. Below is an overview of each week's theme.

I am a certified Elementary Education teacher with 5 years experience teaching as a K-2 classroom teacher in the public schools. Currently I teach preschool (in person) 3 days per week. I am excited to welcome your child into our class! 

LOGISTICAL RECOMMENDATION - please help your child learn how to "unmute" themselves on Zoom. I have the ability to "mute" learners, but I cannot unmute from the teacher's side. There are times throughout class that I have all students muted and then want to hear from learners individually. It's helpful if all students can unmute themselves with ease or you can sit next to them and assist with the mute button as well.

MATERIALS: On the Sunday before class, printable materials for each week will be sent to each learner via the classroom homepage. Please have crayons, pencil/paper (or whiteboard) available for all classes. 

TIME NOTE: I will open the classroom approximately 5 minutes prior to class, but will wait until the start time of class to let students into the classroom. Our class will run almost exactly 30 minutes from start to finish, but there may be days we end a minute or two early or go a minute or two beyond. 

My classroom is a safe place full of engaging and fun learning! I am energetic, patient and kind. I try to encourage lots of student output in different ways to include all types of learners (song, movement, sharing, reading). There is no required experience or knowledge learners need.
