Teaching mastery of fundamental skills that include, but are not limited to, the complete alphabet, Numbers 0–20, reading high-frequency/sight words, and All about the world around us! We utilized Common Core standards as a guideline to create our proprietary Kindergarten Readiness Bilingual Curriculum. Ensuring that all Future Scholars are adequately prepared to enter Kindergarten or 1st grade. We will not allow COVID to stop our 100% Kindergarten Readiness mission. Our goal is to have your child academically prepared when school starts and for them to be confident contributors in their kindergarten classrooms. This curriculum is an essential bridge to Kindergarten success. Our lessons are integrated with personalized learning experiences. FSA did not change what we teach, but instead how we teach it virtually! Start or stop at any week. These experiences can be great for your future scholar if they are struggling with letter or number recognition, phonic sounds, or sight words. This class can be an introduction to these fundamental skills or a refresher. We incorporate Spanish, Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies in our lessons. Morning Routine/Social & Emotional We discuss how everyone is feeling by doing an emotional check-in. This is when our question of the day is asked and answered by Future Scholars. Phonics Fun This is an excellent time for Future Scholars to play fun phonics games. This is when our friends may learn a new poem or play a fun game. You never know what fun is awaiting, especially if we have Phonic Fun with Brooke stopping by our class. She loves to pop in and tell stories! Brain Break It gives Future Scholars a well-deserved brain break and often allows learners to get up and move. This time may be filled with brain games, songs, rhymes, instruments, or the use of gross motor skills related to our weekly themes.
