Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Hello Little Adventurers

In this ongoing class learners will focus on one country each week while review basic math, phonics and literacy concepts. Learners will engage in conversations and have the chance to do show and tell each week! Class sizes are kept small to ensure that this class is interactive and sociable for all learners!

There will be 2 classes each week:
Class 1 - Learners will be introduced to our country of the week and the letter that it begins with. We will practice the letter construction and writing the country name. Learners will learn some key facts about the country such as location, weather and population.

Class 2 - Class 2 will focus on social skills. We will have open conversations about different landmarks or places of interest in the country of the week. Learners will be encouraged to share their thoughts and to ask questions. We will also cover a math concept relating to the country. Math concepts include 2D and 3D shapes, comparing heights, comparing weights, patterns and sizes.
Learners will each be asked to talk about the country, sharing what they liked / disliked or what they enjoyed learning about. For show and tell learners will be asked to bring something that they would take on their trip to the country of the week. For example, a learner may bring a woolly hat to Finland because Finland can be cold!

Things to bring to class:
For Class 1 each week learners should bring a whiteboard and pen or paper and writing instruments to practice writing.
For Class 2 each week learners should bring one item for show and tell.

Each week learners will receive a worksheet with class 1.

All of our teachers strive to provide a learner-centered classroom where each and every child feels valued and supported. Little Adventurers puts learners at the center of their education and encourages them to go further than simply remembering facts!
