Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
In this weekly class, your child will have a warm, welcoming space to develop their communication skills and gain confidence speaking and expressing their thoughts and ideas.

My teaching style is patient, attentive, responsive, and encouraging. I focus on giving each child the support and positive feedback they need to develop confidence communicating, sharing ideas, asking questions, and responding to questions.

As an Early Childhood teacher for over 20 years, I know that sometimes young children need a little encouragement to express themselves and develop their verbal and social skills.

This class is perfect for the child who may be shy or hesitant to express themselves, or the child who simply has a difficult time knowing which words to use when engaging in conversations or answering teacher’s questions.

I purposely limit the number of students in the class to only 5 students. A small class size ensures that I am able to give attention to each student during class and give each child the opportunity to speak and be heard.

Our class experience every week is fun and interactive! Each class includes engaging in group conversations, playing guessing games, participating in question-and-answer time, and using creativity to express ourselves.

We explore and discuss a different theme every week. Topics for each week include:

🌟favorite books
🌟the weather
🌟hobbies
🌟nature
🌟farm animals
🌟places we visit
🌟modes of transportation
🌟show and tell
🌟pets
🌟sports and games
🌟seasons
🌟five senses
🌟ocean life
🌟daily routines
🌟seasons
🌟rainforest and jungle animals
🌟favorite foods

As we explore the theme of the week, students practice taking turns speaking, listening, and responding. Children are able to build their vocabulary, learn how to use descriptive words, and become more comfortable engaging in conversations.

I can’t wait to meet your child and get started on this journey!
