Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Beginner Level
In this one hour class, we will read and explore at least 3 different genres of books including fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. I will be reading each book while learners sit (or stand) snuggled up (pjs encouraged) with their favorite stuffed friend. Throughout the class, I will ask various comprehension questions, explain the features of each genre, and ask learners to make predictions. Learners will have plenty of opportunity to share and interact during this class. This class will be exciting, engaging and interactive. I strive to create a positive learning environment in which students feel safe, confident, and have plenty of fun!
