Class Experience

Join the old-fashioned (and scheming) Willoughby children as they begin a new life without their old-fashioned parents. In this three-day course, students will talk about the events that occurred in The Willoughbys by Lois Lowry. Students will answer discussion questions about the characters, the humorous dialogue, and the plot! Students will need to read the assigned chapters before each class so they will be prepared to answer discussion questions.

*The chapters must be read before each class.

Class 1: Chapters 1-8
Class 2: Chapters 9-15
Class 3: Chapters 16-21 and Epilogue

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education. I am a book enthusiast! I believe that it is important for students to express their ideas, so each student will have the opportunity to contribute to discussions in my classes. I think learning should be fun, and there should be plenty of laughter during class!
