Class Experience

If your little  learner would like to take a Bob class EVERY WEEK  at the SAME TIME, this is the course for you. This is a PRIVATE one on one course, so the student will have all my attention while they have fun learning. Since this is an ongoing course, you will not have to worry about booking a new lesson every time.  You can cancel anytime after taking all the Bob classes you want to take.

Either, you can choose the class you want your learner to take and message me before that class, so Bob and I will be ready.  Or if you would like to just take them in order, I will keep track of the classes and your little learner can just have fun learning with Bob!

The different topics that Bob classes involve are:
1. <Journey With Bob (Science and Nature)>   These classes are designed for 7 - 11 years old students, however, I have found all ages love them. I am able to adapt the information for younger learners. 
2. <Science and Nature With Bob>   These classes are designed for 3 - 7 years old, although many of my older students love these classes.  
3. <Life Skills With Bob>    These classes are designed for students of different ages.  As we know, life skills are important at every age. 
4. <Math With Bob!>    These classes are designed for younger students or beginner ESL.  My older students love to take them, just to see how much fun they can have with Bob. 
5. <English With Bob?   These classes delve into Phonics and Grammar, which we know can sometimes be boring.  But not with Bob.  English has never been so much FUN!!!!  

I am designing more classes all the time, I would love to hear from you if you have any ideas for classes.  Maybe a subject that your learner has always wanted to learn about. I had a student request a class about flowers and now we have the class,  <Journey to the Plants With Bob!>   I appreciate that input so much!!!! 🥰

Hello! My name is Kandy Bickart and I live in North Carolina, USA. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, an Associate Degree in Biological Science and a TESOL certificate.

I've always had a passion for teaching. I have over 15 years teaching experience both in the classroom and online. I taught in the elementary school level and then became an instructor at my local Community College in the GED and ESL program. I have also enjoyed teaching ESL online to children for the past six years.

BOB CLASSES - I have designed courses for both preschool, elementary ages and ESL students. My courses have unique content with entertaining and informative slideshow. I have included a fun puppet friend named Bob throughout the slideshows, which allows the students to be truly engaged while learning.

READING/WRITING CLASSES - I also have an ongoing reading and writing course with the Wonders Curriculum. I have tried to make it more fun and engaging by presenting it in a slideshow with videos, animations and sound effects. Learning to read and write has never been so much fun!

PHONICS - I have recently added a phonics ongoing course using the Star Curriculum, which uses a fun, interactive and animated slideshow.

SPEAKING CLASSES - I use an effective concept created by Cambridge University that presents a colorful picture with a lot of action going on. This gives a shy student or a student that loves to talk the opportunity to tell me all what they see. I have added some fun activities to keep the student engaged.

READING CLASSES - There are two separate reading course, beginner first grade and mid-year second grade. I have animated the short stories which makes them even more engaging. We learn phonics, reading comprehension and more.

I believe that children learn best in a relaxed but structured environment that encourages them to express themselves. I also feel that children should have fun while they are learning! So FUN is always part of my lesson plan!
