In this one-time class, students will be a space cadet in astronaut training school at Mission Control. After they pass their top secret test, they will be qualified to travel through our Solar System with their pilot, Bob. We will travel to each planet and learn some facts about them. The slide show will not only keep the students engaged but it will encourage participation by the students. Students will learn the meaning of Solar. Students will learn the meaning of orbit. Students will learn that there are 2 kinds of planets in our solar system. (Primary & dwarf planets) Students will learn how many and the names of the primary planets in our solar system. Students will learn the characteristics of the eight primary planets in our solar system.
