Taught: In this course, your student(s) will learn how to read wither they are just starting or they need to be brought up to grade level, we will start with the basics and learn letter names and sounds(constant and vowel sounds), fry sight words, read and respond, read and organize information into a chart or an organizer. The students will learn letter names, go over phonic sounds and blends, sight words, reading strategies to help read a word on their own.
I taught 1 year in my own classroom. I taught two second grade classes and 1 first grade class, 1 year as a paraprofessional where I did small reading groups in three different classrooms from grade 1-3, I was a after school club tutor for 4 years at Bridger and Ellis Elementary schools.
Pencils, Highlighter, eraser, dry erase marker, white board/something to write on with a dry erasable marker (like a desk, picture frame, glass, binder, folder, plastic wrap, notebook, etc.), crayons/ markers or coloring, glue, scissors. Packet of reading and sight words whether on the computer or printed out.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
