Taught: In this course, your student(s) will learn how to read wither they are just starting or they need to be brought up to grade level, we will start with the basics and learn letter names and sounds(constant and vowel sounds), fry sight words, read and respond, read and organize information into a chart or an organizer. I will use fry flash cards, send you a 2 stories every week through email and post it online for you, I have PowerPoint presentations on each of these words, sounds and letters that we will go over together in class and I will even give you access to them, so you can go back on your own to review them. I also have a weekly test where the student reads basic sight words and if they pass more then half they will move on, if not they will keep practicing until they pass it. If they want to pass of more then one fry sight word test a week they can. Structure: Each class session will look like this: 5 min.-Welcome our Class to Our online class, announcements, class question to get us thinking about reading. 10 mins.- review old sight words and learn new sight words. Go over letter sounds/blends/etc. 15 mins.- reading our story and discussion/ chart/practice reading/ game/etc. 5 mins. What the students home work is. 5 mins.- answer any questions and say Good bye for the day. Topics: I will cover reading, basic phonics, and language Arts The schedule will look like this(if we need to go longer or shorter on any of these lessons then we will adjust according to what your child needs): Week 1- Feb 15-19 set up class. Week 2- Feb 22-26 Introduction games and Letter names and sounds. introduce fry sight words (1-25). Reading stories 1 and 2.Go over vowel sounds short a. Week 3- March 1-5. Review fry words(1-25), answers on story 1 and 2, read 3 and 4 stories, fry words (26-50). Review short a vowel sound. Vowel Short E. Week 4- March 8-12. Fry words (51-75), Vowel Short I Week 5- march 15-19. Fry words (76-100)Vowel Short o Week 6- March 22-26. Review test on 1-100 Fry Sight words. Vowel Short U Week 7- March 29- April 2nd. Vowel Long a. Fry words 101-125. Week 8- April 5 - April 9. Vowel Long e. Fry words 126-150. Week 9- April 12-16. Vowel Long i. Fry words 151-175. Week 10- April 19-23. Vowel Long o. Fry words 176-200. Week 11- April 26-30. Vowel Long U. Review test on Fry words 101-200. Week 12- May 3-7. 2 sound letters; C. Fry words: 201-225 Week 13- May 10-14. 2 sound letters: G. Fry words: 226-250. Week 14- May 17-21. 2 sound letters: S. Fry words: 251-275 Week 15- May 24-28. 2 sound letters: Y and W. Fry words: 276-300. Fry words review test on 201-300. Review class. Final Class.
Learning Goals
The students will learn letter names, go over phonic sounds and blends, sight words, reading strategies to help read a word on their own.

Supply List
Pencils, Highlighter, eraser, dry erase marker, white board/something to write on with a dry erasable marker (like a desk, picture frame, glass, binder, folder, plastic wrap, notebook, etc.), crayons/ markers or coloring, glue, scissors. Packet of reading and sight words whether on the computer or printed out.

I taught 1 year in my own classroom. I taught two second grade classes and 1 first grade class, 1 year as a paraprofessional where I did small reading groups in three different classrooms from grade 1-3, I was a after school club tutor for 4 years at Bridger and Ellis Elementary schools.
