This is the next step up from Intro to Tap Dance. If you have no experience with dance, it's probably best to take the intro class first. If you have any experience with dance classes, by all means jump right in! Tap dance is a great way for those who are not dramatic to improve upon their internal sense of rhythm and build confidence. You do not need tap shoes either! I tap my way through life in whatever I happen to be wearing. Shoes that bend are most important and I recommend flats for beginners. We will practice learning and remembering patterns while we practice rhythms using nominations of stamp, stomp and step, shuffles, toe taps, heel drops, hopping, jumping, sugars, flaps and more! It is super fun for boys and girls alike. Learning to count to the music not only benefits math skills (hint: it's pre-multiplication too) but also introduces musicality. This is an excellent pairing with my music class. Your children will get to move to jazz tunes, show tunes and popular music. Everything I play is family friendly and secular.

Supply List
A place to move around and shoes they are allowed to stomp their feet in that can bend in the middle. Sneakers work just fine. Crocs, sandals and shoes with heels don't work so well.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I teach just about any subject. I've been teaching professionally for 25 years. I have taught everything from Art to Science and as an Arts Integrator have taught Science through Art. For the past 4 years, I have focused on creating Enrichment programs for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Many take my classes over and over. I recently began creating curricula for homeschoolers kindergarten through high school. The positive feedback I have received from both parents and students has been further inspiring. My biggest talent is the ability to distill any subject to its most simple form and build from there in a logical step-by-step format. My classes are entertaining and require active participation. The folding technique I use in developing curricula allows students to absorb information and acquire skills permanently in a shorter amount of time than traditional methods.
