Beginner Level
Sudoku is a great way to challenge your brain! It is one of my favorite puzzle games. I will be teaching the basics of Sudoku. Your child will be able to print the puzzle before class to solve with the class together. We will use problem solving strategies to try to solve the puzzle together as a class! This class is about socializing and learning a fun game that gets your brain moving and thinking! In the first 10 minutes of class, I will break down the game rules and show examples of strategies to use to be successful at solving the puzzle. For the remaining 30, we will work together to solve beginner puzzles! If your child has never even heard of Sudoku before, this is the perfect class for them because I will break it down with beginner puzzles! After class they will be able to try a puzzle on their own and post a picture at their completed puzzle!
Learning Goals
Students will learn the basics of how to solve Sudoku puzzle by using problem solving strategizes.

Supply List
Students will need the Sudoku puzzle and a pencil! Students will be provided with puzzles to print before and after class. Each class has a different puzzle so you can sign up for multiple class if your child still wants to practice and socialize!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Sudoku is my favorite mind puzzle. I learned at a young age in my math class and I have always stuck with it. I love to challenge myself to different level puzzles. I am now a math teacher and use this puzzle with my students to promote problem solving skills, self-motivation and perseverance!
