This course is a beginner course for saxophone. This course will explain the fundamentals of playing the saxophone and the fundamentals of reading music. Each lesson within the course will be tailored to your students' needs and interests.

Beginner - Intermediate Level
This is a beginner saxophone course for the complete beginner. Inside this course the student will learn one on one with me through video. We will cover the very basics of caring for the instrument, to playing with proper body position, music notation, and scales. This course will prepare the student for basic first songs and easy level playing.

How the Saxophone Functions
Basic saxophone care and putting the instrument together. How one should place their reed and pad care. 60 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Basic Finger Positions to Get Started!
Basic positions of the fingers on the keys of the instrument. Which hand is positioned on top and which on the bottom. How one should hold their saxophone. To the side, or between the legs? 60 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Reading Basic Music Notation
The very basic not names and positions within the staff. Introduction to note durations and rhythm identification. 60 mins online live lesson

Introduction to Scales
Introduction to musical scales in relation to the saxophone. Explain why scales are an important part of learning an instrument. 60 mins online live lesson

Supply List
A basic saxophone lesson book will be useful for this course and a saxophone for the student to play and practice. The saxophone can be an alto, tenor, or baritone saxophone.
