Mastery Evaluation
1-2 hours per week. I encourage you to practice with the videos and then practice on your own, with the song sheet. Each song has its own video lesson plus a song sheet to go along with it. Please learn the songs in order the first time through. They are designed to build skills as they go along
Assessment
Available upon request - If you would like to send me a video of the student playing one of the songs from this course, I will submit my feedback to you. Please note that because I give each student's video careful attention, it can take a couple of days for my to send my assessment. If you don't hear back from me in 2 - 3 days, feel free to message me to check on it My assessment is mainly to give you feedback and suggestions that will help them know what to work on. Sometimes the feedback may be about seating position and hand positioning. Proper seating position and alignment are very important to playing well and not getting fatigued. I will also give suggestions on musical and technical aspects, if needed. Mainly, I try to be supportive and encouraging, so that the student maintains the desire to continue with piano. I want them to build confidence and to have enjoyment learning to play piano.

Class Experience

This is a self paced, video course. There are no live classes. You can go at your own pace.

There are song sheets included that you can print out. All songs are original songs. This is an easy method that does not require any music reading. I have a special system that will help you to learn to play songs right away.

This class will teach the student to be able to play ten songs confidently. They will learn the basic skills needed to be able to play the piano for fun

The videos are in a specific order that progresses, so please learn the songs in order the first time through. You can go back to specific songs, after you have completed all of the videos in order once.

Specific skills are built into the songs as the student progresses through the course. They will learn proper hand position, and fingers for home position. We will practice rhythms , steady beat and melody.

The videos start with songs that have 5 notes and then progress. More rhythms are added as the videos continue. Please go in order.

Each song has it's own video, so that you can go back and review a specific song later, if you want to review. Any new skills needed for that song are given at the beginning of that video.

Each video is formatted in this format -
Intro practice, warm up and new skills
Follow along with my fingers and echo me
Play along with the song sheet on the screen while echoing me
Sing along if you like for the last part
Learning Goals
