In this class, students will learn the parts of the skull, bones/muscle of the arms, hands, chest, legs, and feet. Students will be worksheets via the Outschool platform to trace/coloring in the important body parts. Also, students will learn to identify the arteries, veins, lymphatic, nervous system, heart, and lungs. Course Breakdown: Day 1: Basic Proportions/Head I will introduce the basic landmarks of the human body more specifically the detailed anatomy of the head. In this class, the students will be able to name all the important parts of the skull. It is highly recommended that starting day 1, students have a tracing paper to do their drawings. Students will practice drawing either the head or only the skull. Day 2: Arms Now that the head is completed. Let's add some arms to the model. Students will learn some detailed anatomy of the arms such as the main muscle and bones of the arm. Students will have the option to arm with or without muscle (skeleton structure). Day 3: Chest Great job! We are almost done with the upper body. Let's not forget the chest! Students will learn the different types of ribs that protect the heart and the lungs. Students will have the opportunity to draw the ribs or the organs such as the heart and lungs. Day 4: Hands Students will learn that these simple hands have a lot of small details. Students will learn about some bones, muscles, veins, and arteries landmarks. They will draw the structure of the hands. Day 5: Legs Now that the upper body is complete, let draw some legs so we can run! Students will learn some muscle groups, arteries, veins, nerves, and bones. Students will be able to sketch either the skeletal structure of the legs or the legs with muscle. Day 6: Feet Wow, we are almost done! Let's sketch some feet for the model. Students will learn some muscle groups, arteries, veins, nerves along with bones. If you prefer a different class time, please send me a message or a schedule request! My schedule is pretty flexible, and I'd be happy to work around your student's time constraints!
