This class will be conducted over live meetings once a week. We will have online discussions and group activities to help enhance learning. My teaching style will be to ask students questions as a group, and allowing them to answer in chat or by raising their hands on a volunteer basis. Students can also interact in class discussions or leaving a message in the classroom board. There is no prior knowledge required for these classes, each child will have a good understanding of NASA missions of space exploration.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Master's Degree in Education from University of Phoenix
Hi, my name is Mrs. Gina, and I am a dedicated teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching Science and Technology courses for elementary and high school students. I also taught highly gifted students at UCLA summer programs, where I focused on STEM classes mainly on coding for ages 10-15 years old. Currently I am teaching STEM courses in Astronomy at Outschool.

I am a certified STEM educator provided by the Texas State NASA program. This includes Learning Pathways to the Moon, Artemis Return and Recovery, Explore the Moon for the Artemis Generation, and NASA Explore The Solar System and Beyond (The Lucy Mission). Currently I serve as a NASA Climate Change Research Initiative Education Ambassador to help bring data into my curriculum. All of these certifications by NASA have added to my knowledge and expertise in teaching STEM courses.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree and a Master degree in Curriculum and Instruction, which have helped me develop skills in designing effective lesson plans, assessments, and incorporating the latest technological advancements in the classroom.

Currently, I reside in Los Angeles, California where I continue to teach and inspire students to pursue their passions in technology and STEM. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, and stargazing on clear nights, which helps me gain inspiration and perspective to bring back into the classroom.

I am committed to providing my students with engaging and challenging learning experiences that foster their curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills, and prepare them for success in their future endeavors.
